Every Creation Begins with a Story

Creativity has been a constant throughout my life. It has been my escape, my healing, and the place I instinctively returned to whenever I wanted to make sense of the world around me.

Long before I imagined founding a design house, I found comfort in creating, whether through art, design, writing, or simply bringing an idea to life with my own hands.

The act of creating has always given me a sense of peace, and over time, it became the language through which I expressed myself most naturally.

Interestingly, my earliest academic fascination had little to do with design. I was captivated by criminal psychology and endlessly curious about the complexities of human behaviour—what shapes our decisions, what influences our actions, and the stories that quietly exist beneath the surface.

Yet when the time came to choose my path, I found myself drawn towards an entirely different world. I pursued Culinary Management at the University of Wollongong Malaysia, discovering a discipline where creativity met technical precision, where imagination relied on skill, and where excellence emerged through patience, discipline and relentless refinement.

During my studies, I had the privilege of completing a six-month internship at Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy, the three Michelin-starred restaurant founded by Chef Massimo Bottura. Working within one of the world's most celebrated kitchens transformed my understanding of craftsmanship.

Every service demanded extraordinary care, every detail served a purpose, and nothing existed merely for decoration.

I learned that the smallest details often leave the most lasting impression, and that true artistry lies not in excess, but in intention.

Those lessons have remained with me ever since, shaping not only the way I approach design but the standards I hold myself to in everything I create.

My creative influences have never come from a single source. I find inspiration in literature, cinema, period dramas, history, architecture and the traditions that cultures preserve across generations. 

I have always been fascinated by the stories that beautiful objects carry, and by the way art allows history to remain present long after the people who created it are gone.

Living in Malaysia, spending time in Italy, experiencing the remarkable cultural heritage of Istanbul, and later calling Dubai home broadened my perspective in ways I could never have anticipated.

 Every place introduced me to different materials, aesthetics, traditions and ways of celebrating. Together, they taught me that beauty has no single definition.

It evolves through culture, through history, and through the countless ways people express identity, craftsmanship and celebration around the world.

Some time later, while exploring design inspiration on Pinterest, I came across embellished stemware for the very first time.

I was immediately captivated.

There was something extraordinary about the transformation of an everyday object into a piece of functional art.

The delicate interplay of light across metallic finishes, pearls and stones elevated a simple champagne flute into something sculptural, expressive and entirely unforgettable.

I found myself returning to those images again and again, studying every composition, every silhouette and every detail with growing fascination.

For several months, that fascination remained exactly what it was—an idea.

Then, in November 2025, curiosity became commitment.

I immersed myself in research, experimented with materials, explored countless compositions and gradually developed techniques through patience, persistence and an unwavering desire to create something that felt authentically my own.

Rather than recreating designs that already existed, I wanted to develop a visual language that reflected my own influences, one that balanced European inspiration with contemporary elegance while celebrating the richness of cultures, histories and artistic traditions that continue to inspire me every day.

As my work progressed, I realised that although embellished stemware had flourished in other parts of the world, it remained remarkably uncommon in India.

More importantly, I recognised an opportunity to contribute something uniquely my own, shaped not by imitation, but by the experiences, places and stories that had influenced me throughout my life.

That vision became Zahra Razvi.

Every creation begins long before the first stone is placed. I spend countless hours exploring colour, proportion, texture, movement and composition, considering how every element interacts with light and how each design feels in the hand as much as it delights the eye.

My background in hospitality taught me that beautiful objects do far more than decorate a table; they shape experiences, encourage conversation and become part of the memories created around them.


Although our inaugural collection introduces embellished champagne flutes, it represents only the first chapter of a much larger creative vision. 

I hope to continue exploring new forms of tableware, decorative objects and collectable designs, each one carrying the same spirit of curiosity, artistry and thoughtful design that first inspired me to begin this journey.

I don't believe beautiful objects exist to be admired. I believe they become part of the stories we tell, the traditions we preserve, and the moments we remember long after they have passed.
